5 Arched Window Scroll Stoppers

Oftentimes, rooms can be overrun by the sharp edges that make them so. A room, depending on its size, is essentially a box. It’s up to us and our personal preferences to break up that box and turn it into cozy environment. As of lately, organic shapes are making their way into architecture. We are seeing more arched doorways, curved walls, and even curved furniture. Arched windows, while classical and not a new design feature, add an organic soft touch to a space that I am really interested in exploring. Therefore today I wanted to share 5 arched window scroll stoppers with all of you!

If this is your first time checking out a scroll stopper’s blog post of mine, you may be wondering what a scroll stopper is. Each week, I share a set of images that I have been inspired by and have stopped me mid-scroll in hopes that they also inspire you in some way. If you would like to see past week’s scroll stoppers, click here [HERE]. For now, let’s check out 5 arched window scroll stoppers.

1.

This photo of a cozy kitchen nook shared by @peppertreeliving @jaimeeroseinteriors features a really great large arched window. I love the idea of an arched window in this space and trying to picture a classic square window here just doesn’t seem right!

2.

This room featuring a radius arched window is so stunning. @fredericmagazine shared this bedroom and I am so in awe by it. It just goes to show that you can make so much out of a space that isn’t a perfect rectangle. The arched walls, with beautiful wallpaper I might add, give a great cottage feel.

Arched windows can make their way into any room. Shown here by @livingawilderlife, an arched window may be the perfect addition to a laundry room to make it feel cozier and a place you actually want to spend time in.

@jeanstofferdesign is such a good person to turn to for cozy details in spaces. I am so lucky to call her a confidant and local designer to me. I love what she did with this window that may not have originally been arched, but with detailed trim was made to look arched. Such a great solution.

5.

Churches are no strangers to arched windows and I love this photo that @leannefordinteriors shared of a small wedding chapel. The arched door and window are so quaint and make the space looks like such a darling space to get married.

What do you think of arched windows in cozy spaces? I would love to hear on Facebook or Instagram. Thanks for stopping by the blog today and every day!

xx Liz Marie
